Major Scandal Over Mnangagwa 2030 Bid.
A major political Scandal with potential far-reaching consequences is brewery in local Zimbabwean politics amid revelations that Zanu PF senior officials and some Judges are colluding to facilitate President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s team unlawful extension amid a growing threat to the country’s constitutional order and internal stability.
As some Zanu pf leaders, including Ministers, political strategies and legal bureaucrats are fast-moving behind the scenes to fast-track the treacherous deal.
the subversive deal involves bringing a constitutional court application by proxy challenging the ruling party’s manoeuvres to extend Mnangagwa’s rule beyond his 2028 second team legal limit to 2030 and beyond without going through a referendum as required by law in order to formally dismiss that action to pave way for their project.
This a major political-judicial Scandal in the making. Officials from Zanu PF, the Ministry of Justice and their political strategists want to cause a court application to be filled by proxy to get the Constitutional court (ConCourt) under Chief Justice Luke Malaba to dismiss it to facilitate Mnangagwa’s 2030 political agenda. It’s incredible judge’s can be roped into such an constitutional and politically corrupt process.
These dubious court applications floating on social media by known quantities and civic activities are part of the plot. If so why the President can not get his term extension properly if the people want that. The Constitutional route is there. But political manipulators do not want that, they are afraid of a referendum.
That’s Banana Republic politics, it’s constitutional evasion and corrosion. It’s a serious threat to the Constitutional order, democracy and society. Look 45 years after Independence we can’t still be rooted in such an old- fashioned dictatorial mindset.
This is a sinister political plot. We can’t have politicians and judges correctly colluding to undermine the constitution for short-term individual political and monetary benefits, it’s an attack on the constitution, rule of law and democracy.
