ZANU PF PROPAGANDA HIDES THE TRUTH OF ZIMBABWE’S REALITY

0

Zanu PF continues to push its propaganda machine, telling a story far from the reality of Zimbabwe today. The party presents itself as strong and making progress, but this is far from the truth. What we are seeing now is a smokescreen, a way for Zanu PF to hide its failures. The party that has led Zimbabwe into the crisis it now faces is pretending to have made gains when in fact, the country is paralyzed under its rule.

Young people, many of whom are unemployed, have now been turned into online supporters of the party. They praise the aging leader of Zanu PF, who seems disconnected from the problems Zimbabwe is facing. But these supposed gains are not real. They are the result of election manipulation. The electoral commission, which should be independent, seems to be helping the party’s dishonest goals.

Anyone who believes Zanu PF has made any real progress is simply mistaken. It is like trying to fit a camel into a small tent—impossible and ridiculous. The party claims to be legitimate, but it is responsible for Zimbabwe’s problems today. Zanu PF holds power but has failed to bring any positive change to the country. The nation is now in chaos, much of which stems from the leadership of the party.

Think of the nation as an old donkey, overworked and mistreated. This donkey is being forced to work as if it is young, despite being weighed down by heavy burdens. This is similar to how Zanu PF runs the country. Those in power show no care for the nation or its people, much like how the donkey is pushed to its limits with no sympathy. The leaders of Zanu PF, corrupt and illegitimate, are mismanaging the country in the same way.

In the past, the people of Zimbabwe understood the idea of substitution—learning from good teachers who were paid fairly. Today, this is no longer the case. Those loyal to Zanu PF, blinded by propaganda, do not understand this basic idea. Their children are being sent to Zanu PF rallies instead of school, missing out on a good education. They are fed stories of a failed liberation struggle, one that has left Zimbabwe in a worse state than before.

Zimbabweans today are like the poor donkey mentioned earlier, starved of food and care. The donkey’s hunger symbolizes the people’s lack of access to good, affordable public services. People are not getting the care and support they need. The Zanu PF government continues to ignore the real problems, focusing instead on enriching themselves. The public is left suffering, with no reliable services to depend on.

The real question is this: how can a party that has failed so badly continue to claim success? The people of Zimbabwe have made it clear time and time again that they want change. They want leadership that is innovative and forward-thinking, not the same corrupt and ineffective leadership that has led to years of decline. So why would anyone support Zanu PF? Why would people vote for the same party that has oppressed them for so long?

These are the questions we must ask. They are the big, obvious questions, the ones that cannot be ignored. It is time for the people of Zimbabwe to see through the smokescreen and demand real change. Zanu PF may try to convince the public otherwise, but the truth is clear: the party has failed, and it is time for new leadership to take the country in a different direction. Zimbabwe deserves better than what it has today.
